David Dusylovitch
One of the original founders of La Mer Ensembles, David graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Music with a dual degree in Violin Performance and Music Education. He studied with Daniel Heifetz, Shirley Givens, and Samuel Applebaum. He has performed with the Princeton Chamber Orchestra, the Jubilate Deo Chorale and Orchestra, Newtown Chamber orchestra, Orchestra of Saint Peter-by-the-Sea, Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra, Riverside Symphonia, and the Delaware Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. David's fiddling experience found him as solo fiddler with John Lithgow at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He performs with the Tim Gillis Band opening for Charlie Daniels, George Strait, Ricky van Shelton, Merle haggard, Alabama. David most recently performed with the music group Kansas. David's worldwide experience includes Disney World, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, the QE II, Tijuana, Egypt, Spain, and Jordan. David is Strings teacher and orchestra director in the Ewing School District, NJ. |

Amy began studying the violin at the age of 8 in Asbury Park, NJ. By the age of 12 she was featured soloist and regular member of a number of orchestras in New Jersey. She was the recipient of the Monmouth County Arts Foundation Talent award while in High School and attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virgina where she won a talent scolarship for all three years she attended. Amy holds a Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas. She attended the Suzuki Institute at both Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY, and the School For Strings in New York City. She has studied with William Haroutounian and Dorothy Strahl. Ms. Bergh has performed with Bay Atlantic Symphony, Staten Island Philharmonics, State Orchestra of New Jersey, Saint Peter-by-the-Sea Symphony, and the United States Army Band. She has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Carnegie Hall, New York City, as well as other cities throughout the US and in Japan. She has played for such stars as Hilary Hahn, Anne Akiko Meyers, and Marvin Hamlisch. She served as Administrative Director of the Monmouth Conservatory of Music and is currently a strings specialist/orchestra teacher in the Edison Township, NJ School District.

Mayumi began her studies at the age of 10. She continued her studies at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where she studied with Deborah Reeder and Ulrich Boeckheler. She placed on the National Dean's List and was the recipient of the University of the Arts Talent Scholarship and the Parks String Award. She graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Music in Performance and in 1993 with a Master of Arts in Teaching. She has played with various orchestras including the Bay Atlantic Symphony, Garden State Philharmonic and Orchestra of St. Peter-by-the-Sea Symphony. She has performed with Ray Charles, and was featured in the video, Feels Like Today by the muliplatinum country group Rascal Flatts and was selected by Grammy judges to be a quaterfinalist in the My Grammy Moment Contest with the Foo Fighters in 2008. Mayumi teaches Orchestra in the Bricktownship, NJ School District.

James Day graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a Masters degree in performance from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He studied viola with John Graham, Jean Dupouy, and Francis Tursi, and harpsichord with Anthony Newman and Peter Wolf. He has played as principal viola with orchestras in both America and Europe, including the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Italy, and has taught both violin and viola for the past four decades. He is currently actively performing as a violinist and violist, is executive director of the Southampton Chamber Music Society, and is an adjunct professor of music at the College of New Jersey. |
